July 11, 2009, 11 a.m. :: CIRV 3-on-3 Basketball Tourney & Resource Fair :: Fay Community Center, 3691 President Dr. Basketball Tournament, age brackets 10-15 and 16-30, prizes for 1st place winners in each bracket. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Also, Resource Fair highlighting educational opportunites, legal and social services. For more information, call 513-591-2692.

June 14, 2009 :: 4 p.m. :: Walnut Hills  A candle light vigil is scheduled for Lakeisha Streety.  Ms. Lakeisha Streety was murdered March 10, 2006 at 2812 Stanton Ave. in Walnut Hills. Lakeisha's family & friends would like to know who took her life. Please come to the vigil to support them.


June 7, 2009 :: 2 p.m. :: Burnett Woods  Cincinnati African-American Firefighters Association is helping Noelle Washington's family host a memorial vigil for Noelle and Anthony Washington and Sharailyn Wright.


June 7, 2009 :: 2 p.m. :: Northside Children's Park  A vigil for John Harris will be held at the park at Fergus & Chase in Northside.   John Harris was murdered 6/7/2007.  His murder stills remains unsolved. John was leaving his car to go into his home when three men robbed him.  John explained he was a father to 3 children. They still shot him three times. You may call Peggy Harris 513 207-1816 with questions or information about the case.

JJune 6, 2009 :: 5 p.m. :: 3220 Moosewood St.  A vigil will be held in memorial of Victoria Thompson. The address is 3220 Moosewood St. off Beekman Ave. , here in Cincinnati.  Victoria was murdered June 6, 2008 in her home in Moosewood. This murder still remains unsolved.
